Kingsland Road have made it through to next week’s X Factor live show after being saved by the judges in the sing-off.

Connor Conaboy, from Rugby, and his Kingsland Road bandmates performed live again in front on millions of people on Saturday when they sang Bruno Mars - Marry You.

Despite receiving praise from the judges, Kingsland Road found themselves receiving the least amount of votes at the end of Saturday night’s show - meaning they were automatically in Sunday night’s sing-off.

Mentor Gary Barlow said he was “gutted” but reminded the boys that last year’s X Factor winner, James Arthur, was in the bottom two and went on to win it.

Gary said: “I’m gutted for the guys but they know what they need to do. We’re going to come back fighting tomorrow.”

On last night’s (Sunday) show Gary said he didn’t see the flash vote result coming and was shocked that Kingsland Road were in the bottom two.

He said he wouldn’t change anything about their performance though.

Kingsland Road took to the stage once again to sing Pink’s Try as their sing-off song.

They were up against contestant Shelley Smith who sang Nina Simone’s Stop.

Gary saved his act Kingsland Road, while Sharon Osbourne saved Shelley Smith.

Nicole Sherzinger and Louis Walsh also saved Kingsland Road, meaning they are through to next week’s live show.

Via Twitter Kingsland Road said: “Thank you so much judges! Time for some hard work this week tho. Thanks all for support.”

Connor added: “Omg. Again so so speechless. I’m so happy! Words can’t even describe!

“Going to get a sort of early night. Back to the grind tomorrow but cannot wait! Bring on Saturday. Thank you all for your support! Love you.”
