DOZENS of people ventured out on Christmas Day to see a 107-year-old Rugby landmark being dismantled.
The redundant Great Central Railway bridge that spanned the West Coast Mainline, was taken down in front of onlookers.
Known locally as The Birdcage because of its appearance, the bridge was dismantled to make way for Rugby's new-look railway station.
Self-confessed 'train-nut' John Lynch, of Grendon Drive, Rugby, said: "Dozens of people visited throughout the day.
"The landmark has been there for over 100 years so it was interesting to see."
