Last pint for milkman Fred after 32 years

AN AWARD winning milkman is saying goodbye to his float and looking forward to a lie in after 32 years delivering pints of semi skimmed across the town.

Fred Holloway has retired from his position as town milkman and was waved off from his round with surprises at Servite House and Gauntlet pub, as well as racking up almost 200 cards from well wishers.

The 60-year-old who lives in Cubbington said after spending three decades leaving the house at 3am, he is looking forward to a lie in after delivering his very last pint of the white stuff.

Fred, a former Milkman of the Year at the dairy, is looking forward to spending more time with his grandchildren and might even take up bowls to make use of the free time on his hands.
