Leamington nursery helps raise money for sick baby charity Bliss

Youngsters who attend The Co-operative Care nurseries wore bunny ears and collected £89 for Bliss.

The nursery in Spencer Street saw children make ‘Miffy’-style ears to celebrate 60 years of the children’s book favourite.

Parents and colleagues put their best baking skills into practice with a cake sale to help boost fundraising efforts.

Organisers said the event was a great success.

The Leamington nursery is now in the running to receive a visit from the famous bunny herself, if it is named as the top fundraiser.

Julie Clarke, manager at The Co-operative Childcare in Leamington, said: “Everyone at the nursery had a great time at our Miffy Extravaganza.

“The children were really excited about our party and particularly enjoyed reading stories, and using her as their inspiration for fundraising 
activities.

“Bliss is a fantastic charity and the support they offer can have a direct impact on children, their families and the wider community, so it is cause close to our hearts and one we’re proud to support.”
