Leamington nursery tots take pleasure in filling hampers for charity
The children who attend the Co-operative Childcare nursery in Upper Grove Street were invited by the Midcounties Co-operative Food store in Leamington to pick out items from the shelves in the supermarket to put into the hampers.
The toddlers also spent time decorating the baskets and chose which charity they wanted to donate them to.

Hide AdStore manager Mitch Sanghera said: “It was great having the children come into the store and they were very interested in the different types of food we have and where it comes from. The children were very enthusiastic about donating the food to the charities they selected and were excited to get the hampers back to the nursery to decorate.”
The nursery’s manager Leanne Bowen said: “We took five groups of children into the food store and they really enjoyed choosing what to put in their hampers.
“After bringing the hampers back to the nursery, the children worked together to decorate them, which they loved. It was a fun activity for the children to get involved in as it really helped them learn about the importance of charitable giving.”
