Thank you to Brian Cave for raiding his family archives to bring us these two old school photos.

The first from around 1920 is of the ‘rest period’ at Wood Street Infants School, where his mother and sisters (family name Tomalin) would all have attended. See how the hammocks are strung from the legs of upturned desks!

The second is of the staff of Murray Boys School around 1950 and Brian has been able to name everyone.
