The M6 southbound is now fully open to traffic after a serious collision closed all three lanes earlier this afternoon (Wednesday).
The accident happened between junction one for Rugby and junction two for Coventry and an air ambulance was called to the scene.
Highways England tweeted just after 4.15pm to say the road had been cleared of debris and was now open - but long tailbacks are still affecting traffic.
Speaking to the Advertiser at 2pm, a Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: We were called to the scene about an hour ago to reports of a collision involving three vehicles.
“It’s thought to be between a lorry, a car and a motorbike.”
They added that “no fatalities have been confirmed at this stage.”
