A CANNABIS factory has been discovered in Rugby.

Police officers found the cannabis growing at a house in William Street in Rugby on Thursday.

One man was arrested and the cannabis was removed and destroyed.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “If the police think that you are dealing cannabis, they will arrest you. If you are convicted of supplying or intending to supply cannabis you can be sentenced to a maximum of 14 years in prison and given an unlimited fine. If you sell cannabis near schools, you can get a stiffer prison sentence.

“People are reminded that using cannabis can harm both your physical and mental health.”
