Man arrested in Brownsover on suspicion of intent to supply Class A drugs

POLICE arrested a 20-year-old man on Monday after he was seen acting suspiciously in Brownsover.

Officers were in the area searching for the gang who had committed the robbery at Tarratt jewellers on Monday morning, when they saw the male in Windamere Close, but he ran off along Millersdale.

He was detained by a plain clothes officer and searched. A quantity of, what are believed to be Class A drugs, weighing scales and money was found on him.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and questioned at Nuneaton Police Station.

He has been released on police bail to return to the police station on October 15.
