Man due in court following robbery at Tarratt jewellers, Regent Street, Rugby

A MAN will appear in court again next week on trial for robbery.

Jordan Mitchell, 24, was arrested following an armed robbery at Tarratt jewellers in Regent Street on Monday last week.

He appeared before magistrates in Leamington on Wednesday last week changed with robbery at the jewellers, during which around £200,000 worth of watches were stolen.

The court ordered Mitchell to be sent for trial and he will next appear at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday (September 19) for a plea and case management hearing.

Mitchell, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, was given conditional bail by the court which includes a curfew and to be electronically monitored.

A huge police manhunt was launched in Brownsover following the robbery at Tarratt - formerly Thomas Cleaver - last week.

Police are still looking for other people in connection with the incident.
