Two cars followed a man from the M6 into Rugby town centre and assaulted him after demanding he hand over his vehicle.
Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses after the man was assaulted on Goldsmith Avenue on Thursday October 15 at approximately 7.15pm.
The victim left the M6 at junction one and drove towards Rugby town centre.
From the M6, the victim was followed by two vehicles.
The vehicles are thought to be a dark coloured Ford KA a dark blue coloured VW Golf.
The vehicles have then proceeded to follow the victim down Leicester Road, left onto Newbold Road, past the police station and along Corporation Street, onto the gyratory and along Dunchurch Road.
Once the victim turned into Goldsmith Avenue the offenders boxed the victim in.
The offenders then exited their vehicle and approached the victim, who has remained in his vehicle.
The offenders demanded that the victim hand over his car, to which the victim has refused.
The offenders then proceeded to assault the victim. The victim did not sustain any injuries and no property was taken.
One of the offenders is described as an Asian man, about 5ft 10 in height and of a medium build with short black hair. He was thought to be in his twenties and at the time of the incident was thought to be wearing a grey sweater.
The other offender is described as a white man with short blonde curly hair and is thought to be in his early twenties. He is thought to be between 5ft 8 and 5ft 10 in height and at the time of the incident was wearing a white t-shirt with a blue motif on the front.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or have seen men matching the above descriptions should contact police on the non-emergency 101 number quoting incident reference number 305 of Thursday 15th October.
