A man had part of his ear bitten off during a ‘savage’ attack in Warwick on Boxing Day.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the assault on the 36-year-old man.

The incident happened at around 11pm on Saturday (December 26) at the Spice Hut restaurant in Market Square, Warwick. Two groups of men in the restaurant became involved in a disagreement, which resulted in the physical altercation.

Detective Inspector Jon Belcher said: “This man has been left with life-changing injuries, in what was a savage and unprovoked attack. We are keen to hear from anyone near the restaurant or in Market Square who can help our investigation in any way.

“Presently the description we have of the offenders is that there are four men, two are described as white, in their mid 30s, around 5ft 10ins tall and of a stocky build. The third man is described as mixed race in his mid 30s and of average build, the fourth man is described as white, aged mid 30s to 40s, 6ft tall and of a large, stocky build.”
