A man was left with ‘significant’ facial injuries after trying to break up a fight in a Rugby nightclub.

The incident happened in Boutique and the Beach in High Street on Sunday February 22 between 1.30am and 2am. Warwickshire Police launched an appeal for witnesses to the assault this week.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was caught up in an altercation in the toilet area, which he tried to break up. He was then physically assaulted by another man, causing him injuries requiring hospital treatment.

Anyone who was in the nightclub on that night who may have information to help police with their inquiries is asked to call 101, quoting incident 288 of February 25 and asking to speak to PSI 9409 Turner at Rugby CID.
