Funds have been raised in Rugby so nurses can help terminally ill people in their own homes.
Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal took place last month and was supported by members of Rugby Fundraising Group and an army of volunteers collecting in and around Rugby.
Paul Defty, chairman fo the group, said: “This year’s campaign had the added addition of a new online booking system for volunteers requiring to collect in two hour slots at sites secured previously by Marie Curie Head Office.
“This new system attracted six members of AMYA, Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, who have been collecting in other areas as well as Rugby in the campaign.”
He thanked the generous people of Rugby who gave a total of £3,242.30p
