Mario brings taste of Italy to newly launched restaurant

He may talk like a Barnet Londoner, but his roots are firmly set in the sunshine, rolling hills and seductive Adriatic coastline of Puglia in southern Italy.

Chef Mario D’Almo is the cornerstone of the newly re-launched ‘Bianco’ Italian restaurant in Church Street, Rugby, which has just rebranded and re-opened.

“My aim is to bring the authentic taste of Italy to the mouths of my friends in Rugby, new and old,” said Mario.

“The whole point it to create mouth-watering dishes, using fresh, healthy ingredients with my own truly Italian Mario-style cooking.”

Having worked in several highly rated and exclusive eateries in London and the Home Counties, Mario now wants to show off his skills to the discerning palates of Rugby at the former La Margherita restaurant.

Having also worked in property, and import and export, Mario is looking to make visiting Bianco a unique experience. Based on great food, as the restaurant develops, the venue will start to include entertainment and special weekend nights.
