RUGBY-based chartered surveying firm George & Company has completed the acquisition of Storers Chartered Surveyors.

Offering a wide range of services, George & Company might be a relatively new name in Rugby for commercial and residential property, but it’s not a new business.

Alistair George officially launched the firm in March last year having demerged from Hawkins, which in turn had merged with Smith and Green in 2004.

With the launch of George & Company, Alistair spotted an opportunity to provide a new chartered surveyors practice for Rugby and the surrounding area.

Alistair said: “This is a very exciting time for the business.

“The acquisition of Storers brings with it a great opportunity to provide a wider range of services to more clients.”

He added: “We will be retaining three surveyors from Storers as part of the acquisition, all of whom bring their own experience, qualifications and expertise to complement perfectly our current offering.”

He added: “Our pro-active approach to business and quality service proposition is important in this demanding market.”

Alistair said client and tenants expectations have moved on and they have to move with them.

“The additional range of services we can now offer will significantly develop our business and opportunities,” Alistair added.

The business team in Rugby is headed by Alistair George BSc (Hons) MRICS FNAEA FICBA and supported by consultant chartered surveyor Ray Smith BSc FRICS.

Joining the team from Storers are chartered valuation suveyor Nigel Dale, chartered building surveyor Geoff White, commercial property advisor Jake Heaton and property manager Gemma Morgan.

With assistance from property manager Claire Archer and admin manager and Julie Smedley, the team will now be able to cater for a much wider demand and expand the business significantly.
