Dinosaurs roam at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum next month at the Night At Your Museum celebration.
The free Dinosaurs at Dusk event takes place on Friday May 8 and features a packed programme of prehistoric fun, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex who blinks, moves and roars.
Visitors can enjoy an exhibition of Creaturama Dinosaurs created from recycled materials by artist Anthony James, whose work has featured on Blue Peter.
During the event Anthony also hosts dinosaur making workshops, where children can create a dinosaur from recyclables to take home. Places at the workshops cost £1.50 and should be booked in advance.
Dinosaurs at Dusk also includes Hear Me Roar! story-telling sessions and tales for young and old delivered by the Dinosaur Wrangler.
In addition, Professor Gowan Dawson presents his lecture - How the Victorians Made Dinosaurs - which explores how 19th century paleontologists claimed to identify and even reconstruct prehistoric creatures from just a single bone. Places at the lecture, which starts at 7pm, should be booked in advance.
With an exhibition of fossils and other treasures from Warwickshire Museum on display, dinosaur-themed fun and games for the under fives, and refreshments also on offer - including dinosaur cupcakes courtesy of Cakes Fabulous Cakes - Dinosaurs at Dusk promises to be a Night At Your Museum to remember.
The event runs from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. To book a place at a workshop or the lecture, call (01788) 533201.
