Men arrested after report of late night drilling in Warwick Gates

POLICE have this morning (Monday March 19) arrrested two men after a member of the public reported suspicious activity in Warwick Gates.

The informant called police after hearing a drilling sound from a shop in Cressida Close shortly before 1am.

Police officers, a search dog and the force helicopter were deployed to the scene.

Two men, aged 30 and 26, were arrested and are currently in custody awaiting questioning.

A car, believed to have been stolen, was recovered at the scene along with items of property also believed to have been stolen.

Warwickshire Police would like to encourage members of the public to report any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information about a crime should call 101, or dial 999 if a crime is in progress.
