Men grab and push staff during robbery at Newbold Co-op

A member of staff was threatened by two men who carried out a robbery at the Co-op food store in Main Street, Newbold on Wednesday March 28.

The offenders entered the store shortly before 10pm. One grabbed a member of staff and pushed her out of the door while the other staff members were pushed to the back of the shop.

No one was injured.

The robbers left on foot in the direction of Parkfield Road with a quantity of cash and bottles of spirits and champagne.

They are described as stockily built Asian males, approximately 6ft tall and wearing hoodies. One was also wearing a face covering.

Police investigating this incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in or near the store, or has any information which would help them with their enquiries.

Officers are studying CCTV footage and conducting house to house enquiries.
