To mark the occasion, families had the chance to bring children aged five and under to enjoy sensory and messy play on a large scale - with paints, water and bubbles galore.

Nic Sharpe, of Barnado’s, said: “To mark the 150-year anniversary, we have organised 150 events throughout Warwickshire. This is just one of them.

“Some of the events have been about baking, etc, but this Art Attack event is focused on messy play. This morning we had children from three nurseries come to see us - Wellingtons, Caldecott and Bizzy Tots - and this afternoon, it’s all about the community.”
