A FAMILY pet has gone missing after it escaped during a motorway crash near Rugby yesterday (Thursday).

Leanne Horton was travelling on the M6 near the Catthorpe Interchange when her car was hit by a lorry.

It hit the central reservation and rolled over onto its roof - causing significant damage.

Leanne, a 14-month-old baby and another woman in the car, were not badly injured.

However her Border Collie cross called Floss escaped and ran off along the carriageway and has not been seen since.

Floss was on her way to the vets when the accident happened.

The female collie cross has dark spots on her white nose. She is shy or scared but approachable and may respond to being called Swetties.

The dog warden has been informed and Floss is chipped.

If anyone has any information or has seen Floss they can call 077625 53637 or 01604 633860.
