Missing dog Floss found safe and well after running away from M6 crash near Rugby

FLOSS has been found safe in a hedgerow near Rugby.

The female border collie cross has been missing since Thursday morning after she escaped out of a car involving in a crash on the M6.

Floss was found yesterday (Sunday) in a hedgerow about three miles from the M6 near Rugby when someone heard her cry.

She was taken to a vets and only had cuts and scratches, and is now back home safe and well in Northampton.

The pet’s owner, Leanne Horton, was travelling on the M6 near the Catthorpe Interchange when her car was hit by a lorry on Thursday.

It hit the central reservation and rolled over onto its roof - causing significant damage.

Leanne, a 14-month-old baby and another woman in the car, were not badly injured.

Floss was in the car at the time being taken to the vets and escaped following the crash.

She was last seen running off down the carriageway before being found yesterday.

The family thanked everyone for their help in looking for Floss.
