Jewellery, cash and bank cards have been stolen from homes in Rugby over the past week.

Between 8.10am and 12 noon on Wednesday last week, burglars smashed a rear window at a property in St George’s Avenue and then reached in to open the door. Once inside the house, they ransacked a bedroom before making off with items of jewellery.

During the night of Friday into Saturday, intruders entered a home in Newland Street and stole a quantity of cash and several bank cards.

And just before 8.30am yesterday (Monday), a resident of a home in Dalkeith Avenue reported hearing a noise and then the rear door being kicked in at a neighbouring house. It was then discovered that the house had been burgled and items stolen.

Call the police on 101 with further information.
