Motorcylist snatched pensioner’s purse

AN ELDERLY woman had her purse snatched by a man on a motorbike in Bilton.

The motorcyclist, believed to be male, stopped and spoke to the lady, she leant towards him and he grabbed her wrist before snatching her purse containing less than £10 in cash.

It happened at 8.35pm on Friday, June 5, in Alwyn Road, Bilton.

He did a u-turn in the road and rode back towards Main Street in Bilton village on a black Suzuki motorbike.

Officers are asking the public to help identify the motorcyclist.

He was wearing a distinctive white open faced crash helmet with splashes of abstract colours of red and either blue or black on the helmet.

He is believed to be aged in his late teens and was wearing a dark jacket, not a motorcycle jacket.

Officers are also keen to identify the occupants of a beige coloured car seen nearby which drove off after the robbery in the same direction as the motorcycle towards Main Street, Bilton
