They showed their support for Brandon Stadium, the home of Coventry Bees, which has recently had its lease extended for a further year.

Mr Pawsey said: “It was great to see speedway being supported in Parliament by so many MPs, many of whom have tracks in their constituency which are vital community assets. I was very pleased to be able to join Mick Horton and Cllr Gillias at the reception to show my support for Coventry Bees, and their home at Brandon Stadium.

“Speedway is a real community sport and it is not unusual to see three generations of families watching the racing.

“The news earlier this year that Coventry Bees would be able to remain at Brandon Stadium for the coming season is a great boost to the local area.”
