Murray set for fourth Paralympic appearance

Leamington boccia star has been selected to represent Great Britain at the London Paralympics.

It will be a fourth appearance at the Games for Murray, who captained the team to gold in Beijing and also won an individual silver medal.

“It is a fantastic honour to hear that I have been selected to represent ParalympicsGB at the London 2012 Paralympic Games,” said Murray.

“Boccia has given me the opportunity to compete as an elite athlete over the past 13 years and to be part of a great sport and team environment.

“London will be my fourth and final Paralympics as an athlete, so this will be a special Games for me, especially competing in front of a home crowd which I am sure will be an amazing feeling.

“Since Beijing I have remained totally committed and focused on my training and development as a player, but the hard work is not over just yet.”
