Myton top for online self-assessment learning

Myton School staff and pupils have been officially named as the top school for online self-assessment learning in an area that includes the whole of Wales and extends down as far as Essex.

The Self-Assessment Method - better known as SAM - is an award-winning interactive personalised learning resource that the Warwick students can access from home as well as school.

On Monday teacher Elaine Dodson was presented with an award by Dave Allen, head of business development at SAM who said Myton had not only topped 500 schools in the huge region but was also in the top 30 nationwide.

Mrs Dodson, who co-ordinates the programme, said: “This year students clocked up an impressive 12,895 hours and we know this had a big impact on our excellent GCSE results.”
