A new club aims to help unemployed Brownsover residents back into work.

Brownsover Buddy Club opens its doors on Wednesday September 4 at the Children’s Centre in Wetherell Way, offering support and advice for jobseekers.

Members can access the internet and receive help completing job application forms and writing CVs.

The brainchild of Brownsover Community Association, the buddy club meets every Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 12.30pm and has secured support from Rugby Borough Council, Orbit Housing Group, Brownsover’s Christ Church, and Business in the Community.

Volunteers at the buddy club have received advice and training from staff at the Benn Partnership Centre’s Work Club.

Brownsover Buddy Club will be officially opened at 12.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday) by the Mayor of Rugby, Cllr Anthony Gillias.
