A NEW Italian restaurant is to open in Rugby on Tuesday with the creation of 15 jobs.

Prezzo is opening in Regent Street on the site of the former Il Bertorelli restaurant.

The company has spent the past eight weeks redeveloping the site and invested £500,000.

The restaurant will be managed by Monika Szymborska.

It will specialise in popular and innovative Italian food, including pizza, pasta, grills and light options, as well as a choice of exclusive pizzas created by celebrity chef Aldo Zilli. The restaurant also has a children’s menu.

Monika said: “I am confident that Prezzo will prove popular with people of all ages and be a good addition to Rugby’s social scene.

“The restaurant will serve the highest quality food in comfortable and stylish surroundings.”

The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has a specially adapted toilet for people with disabilities.

It will be open from 12 noon until 11pm throughout the week.
