A new bus service that runs between Magna Park and Rugby town centre will provide reliable transport for staff without their own car.
Rugby Shuttle Service was launched on November 8, with the aim of bringing the local workforce and industry together.
Director Stephen Ford, of Park Road, Rugby, said: “I hope this service will benefit not just the workforce of Rugby and surrounding area but for those that are seeking employment and do not have the transportation means.
“All passengers are welcome whether you are just going shopping to town, catching the train, going to work at Central Park Industrial Estate or seeking work at Magna Park.”
The 45-year-old former commercial finance broker moved to Rugby six years ago and came up with the scheme after seeing the growth and continued expansion of employment and warehousing in the area.
He added: “I saw an advert in a recruitment office window seeking workers with transport.
“I got thinking about those without transport means and discovered it was mainly worded that way because of issues with legislation.
“This was a challenge for me and after almost two years of hurdles we have finally got there and welcome the people of Rugby to their first dedicated direct transport link from Rugby to Magna Park.”
