UP-AND-COMING signed metallers The Morning After will be appearing at Vault on Sunday night to thrash out their take on the 1980s metal and pop scene.
The phrase Big in Japan is often used ironically but in this case it can be applied literally. The band, originally from Essex, are signed to major Japanese label JVC Victor Entertainment. They combine the showmanship and exuberance of classic 80s metal with a more modern hard rock style. This show is part of the band’s Catalina Wine Mixer Tour 2012.
Closer to home The Morning After’s profile is also growing - in the last month they have appeared in magazines such as Kerrang, Front and Classic Rock. Somehow they’ve also played three times at the Download festival in the last two years and toured with Viking Skull and Blessed by a Broken Heart.
They’ll be supported by power metal band Neonfly, another signed band who specialise in stadium-style rock. Rugby punk rockers the Dead Presleys, formerly Thai Bride Suicide will also be in support.
The gig takes place on Sunday March 18 at Vault, tickets are £3 on the door. They are also available online from http://vault.ticketleap.com.
