An accident waiting to happen in Warwick

I must agree with all your correspondents regarding the redevelopment of Warwick town centre, particularly the Church Street and Swan Street junctions. I have twice witnessed a refuse vehicle having completed its collection in Church Street, try to turn left into Jury Street. The realignment of the junction has reduced the available turning circle, which combined with the positioning of the bollards in the centre of Jury Street makes impossible for the vehicle to make the turn in a single operation. The driver has no option other than to stop and reverse back across the junction. Woe betide a pedestrian who tries to cross thinking the vehicle is moving away. This is an accident waiting to happen. - Alec Murray, via email.
