Campaign gaining momentum

It was clear from the recent Warwick Community Forum that the strength of feeling against the housing proposals in the new Local Plan is gaining momentum. Already campaign groups have been set up in their own areas with organised leaflet drops and distribution of information. Also see www.facebook.com/MytonActionGroup.

I would urge others to follow this example and form groups of protesters within their own residential areas so that they can be linked into a co-ordinated defence against the onslaught of nearly 4,000 houses on Warwick, a disaster that will affect us all.

With 23,000 voting age residents of Warwick, we should be able to produce enough objections to show resistance and therefore lack of community support to these proposals. This plan is flawed and needs to be drastically revised. Please get involved in the consultation process and make representations online: www.warwickdc.gov.uk/newlocalplan (remembering to request a Confirmed Representation Number), or email: [email protected] or write to Development Policy Manager, Warwick DC, Riverside House, Milverton Hill, Leamington Spa, CV32 5QH.
