Development will worsen traffic

The proposed housing development on the eastern side of Hatton Park will do no more than exaggerate the dire traffic problems along this stretch of road.

The residents opposite the proposed main entrance already suffer severe peril crossing the double white lines making journeys towards Warwick and to the school at Budbrooke.

The sole secondary narrow access point to and from Hatton Park will serve no more than a rat run from Hatton Park through the proposed development onto the main road, so increasing the amount of traffic, increasing congestion further. The existing flooding on the main road and neighbouring land will only be more exaggerated.

The government housing inspector’s report of 2009 irrevocably stated that Hatton Park should not be extended.

Two more formal submissions have been put forward to the district council for the parish. One opposite Hatton Park’s main entrance and another, most recently, in the natural developable envelope of Hatton Green.
