Inspired by care given to my father

It has been nearly three months since my father has been a resident at The Lawns care home in Whitnash and it gives me great pleasure to say what a wonderful care home it is. Care being the key to how wonderful The Lawns is, all down to the staff.

I was concerned about my father going into a care home as my mother was in a nursing home before she died two years ago and the home she was in was not good. What a shame it was not like The Lawns. I am sure there so much to be learnt by Paul Gaskill and his extraordinary team.

All the staff in The Lawns are wonderful from the managers, care staff to the kitchen, cleaners and laundry staff. It is not a job to them it is so much more & this is reflected in how the residents are treated and how happy everyone is. Residents are shown love, care and attention at all times, if a member of staff pops to the shops they may come back with a residents favourite sweets paid for with their own money not the residents. If a resident is sad or upset a hug is given. It is a wonderful experience to watch the staff in action in a very special home.
