Move Bath Place into council property
Dreadful as the news is about Bath Place, two thoughts do spring to mind about how to move forward.
Firstly, it would appear that the original Bath Place building is structurally sound: it is a shame that no work has been done in the meantime to get it back into use but I’d hope that this would now be a priority.
Secondly I gather that the council house has up to 50 unused spaces: this presumably means that Bath Place activities could continue even on a temporary basis pending restoration of the original premises, providing better utilisation of such wasted resources and of course introducing a vibrant and diverse culture to this underused building. - Dr Andrew Holdcroft, via email.
