Perhaps staff should have to pay too

Many people have to pay parking charges at district station and town centre car parks as part of their daily commute to work, yet as I understand it councillors, officers and staff of Warwickshire County Council, Warwick District Council and local councils park their vehicles for free on car parks paid for by the taxpayer. In these times of cut backs shouldn’t these people contribute towards the cost of parking. If just £250 per year (£1 per working day) was charged to all public sector workers in Warwick district, the car park revenue shortfall would be addressed.

It is interesting to realise the councillors and officers, considering increases in parking charge will not be affected by their decision. - Mr Shakespeare, Crackley, Kenilworth.
