Proposals not part of the local plan
It was interesting to view last weekend’s public consultation exhibition by Gallagher Estates/Pegasus group regarding proposals for housing at Lower Heathcote.
However, I was surprised to realise, when speaking to other people at the display and also neighbours, that they thought the plans were part of the Warwick District Council’s new local plan for this area, already circulated for our consideration earlier this year. In fact these proposals are in addition to the council’s plan.
If both the Pegasus and the Warwick District Council’s proposals were given planning permission we would have hundreds more additional houses in the Lower Heathcote area than already proposed by Warwick District Council. The Pegasus plans also reduce the proposed WDC strategic green wedge stretching from Europa Way to Bishops Tachbrook. - Philip Lennon, via email.
