Put the brake on speed limit rise
I am hoping the Government does not raise the speed limit to 80mph on motorways as my employer will expect me to do more work in the same time for the same money!
I have enough retorts now through no fault of my mine of: “What kept you?” with the 70mph limit! It will be even worse for me if it is raised and it must be firmly remembered that raising the speed limit takes longer to pull up, plus the increase in speed does not increase the speed from brain to brake pedal. - Name and address supplied.
