Southam needs BMX and skate facilities
Whilst it’s good to hear of the exciting plans for Southam (Courier, last week), is it possible to look at the possibility of building other facilities in the area of development.
Southam is crying out for somewhere for the many BMX and skateboard enthusiasts that need somewhere modern and up to date to focus on their interests. We must not assume that the majority is interested in football when there are other sports, which include BMX, which are now an Olympic sport.
I think Southam would benefit from a new BMX track and skatepark within the development as it would be following the lead other towns have now taken on providing an area for these types of sport. - Steve Keech, via email.
