Trains are quick enough already
I just do not understand this. I’ve just seen an advert from Virgin trains on TV where they can get you between London and Birmingham in 1 hour 24 mins. Now if that is so why do we need to ruin the countryside with this HS2?
Also do people realise that you have to travel to or from London and Birmingham stations to catch the train, would that not take up the time saved by using local trains?
