Urgent work needed on park trees

On our regular walks around Victoria Park my wife and I have noticed a large branch, perhaps 20 feet in length, precariously balanced on another branch about 20 feet above the ground and near to the main footpath and the children’s playground.

The branch appears to have broken loose in last year’s gales and was reported to the council several months ago and by ourselves six weeks ago but nothing to date has happened to make the area safe.

The affected tree is the sixth tree on the left hand side of the main path coming from the Victoria Road entrance walking towards the juniors play ground and it urgently needs removing. - Derek Booth, Bamburgh Grove, Leamington.
