We need get to the bottom of problem

I am writing in response to the Courier’s story ‘College vows to make fresh start after crisis’ published at the end of September.

The situation at Warwickshire College is concerning and I am seeking an urgent meeting following continuing revelations about impending cutbacks. We need to get to the bottom of why the college is having these problems, and find out why Warwickshire’s former county education officer is calling for an inquiry.

At this current time of transition before a new college principal is recruited, it is crucial that the quality of student education is safeguarded and jobs are not put at risk.

Warwickshire College is a key part of the local economy employing some 1,800 staff and educating some 16,000 students. We owe it to the hard working staff and students there to ensure that the institution gets back on track.
