PUPILS enjoyed a day of fun and learning about Shrove Tuesday and Lent this week.
The RE day at Provost Williams School in Ryton on Dunsmore saw the youngsters take part in four workshops which included making a tasting pancakes, making masks and carnival dancing, making palm crosses and making pledges about Lent.
The day ended with pancake races in the playground and the whole school gathered together to share what they’d all done.
RE co-ordinator Ros Stoneman said: “It was fabulous. They all had a great day.”
