Last year the statue, which dates back to 1867, was dressed as Olaf - the snowman from family favourite film Frozen.

In 2018 Lord Scott was decorated as the Grinch, and in 2017 he made an appearance as Paddington Bear.

The statue, which is the centre of the village, commemorates Lord John Scott, who was a Grenadier Guards officer, a Scottish MP and a landlord.

Lord Scott died in 1860.
