Elliott's Field power cut shut businesses and caused traffic delays earlier today
A power cut across Elliott's Field briefly shut business and caused traffic delays - with one eyewitness saying customers were evacuated from a store via the fire exit.
At around 1.30pm on Sunday November 3, power to the Leicester Road retail park failed for around 30 minutes.
An eyewitness said they, along with other customers, had to be evacuated from one store via the fire exit.
Many shoppers took to their cars to leave the retail park at the same time - causing severe delays.
Mobile phone reception in the area is also believed to have been affected.
As of 2pm, the power is back on and businesses appear to be open again.
