Father Christmas will once again be helped by the Rugby Rokeby Lions as he embarks on a tour of the town throughout December.

Every year Santa tours the town in the run-up to Christmas, raising money for charity and giving out sweets.

Santa said he would like everyone to stay safe this Christmas, so he and the Rokeby Lions have agreed that things will be slightly different.

Volunteers will not be knocking on doors for donations so Santa is setting up a donation page, the link to which will be shared soon.

There will also be collection bags on poles for those who are able to donate on the day.

Santa is asking everyone to stay at their front doors or front garden if possible and adhere to the two-metre distancing rule.

Santa regrets that children will not be able to approach the sleigh to meet him and he will not not able to give out lollies or sweets.

His route has been approved but he cannot add in any extra roads this year, so unfortunately he will not be able to take requests.

Rugby Rokeby Lions said that, although there are a few more rules, Santa is still very excited to see everyone's smiling faces.

The Lions have written a full list of Santa's route.

Santa starts his rounds at either 5pm or 6pm and specific times and roads will be confirmed shortly - for updates, make sure you keep checking www.facebook.com/RugbyRokebyLionsClubWednesday 2nd December - Wood Street Area
