The charity usually runs events during the year and also operated its 're-useful centre', which is home to donated goods, which otherwise would go to the landfill.

Despite currently being closed, a team of volunteers have continued to refurbish donated bikes.

The Trustees agreed some of these should be given to keyworkers to support their work.

The recipients so far have been identified by the South Warwickshire NHS Trust, after Warwick and Leamington MP Matt Western put them in touch with Action 21.

Action 21 also hopes to include other key workers

The scheme is supported by a grant from the Big Bike Revival for key workers, which is managed by Cycling UK.

John Armstrong, Chair of the Trustees at Action 21, commented; “We undertake many environmental improvement projects.

"This one fits particularly well with our twin aims of reducing waste and encouraging more sustainable transport, as well as supporting our key workers."
