Leamington shopkeeper is given industry award for work he has done in the community during lockdown

Leamington shop owner Sunder Sandher has won an award for the work he did to help his community during the first UK lockdown earlier this year.

Sunder, who owns the One Stop in Tachbrook Road, received a Shop Local Shop Little Heroes Award 2020 from The National Federation of Retail Newsagents (NFRN) "for his contribution to his community during the Covid-19 pandemic".

In June Sunder's shop joined Snappy Shopper, which is a growing home delivery platform specifically designed for convenience stores, offering 30 to 60-minute grocery delivery at instore pricing.

The service means residents can now have goods delivered from the store to their door.

Customers can download the app, or visit the website, pop in their postcode and pick from the list of stores available for delivery to their postcode.
