Club members have been letting those guests whom they had invited personally know that the event, which was due to take place at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Leek Wootton on Friday (March 20), will now be rescheduled for an as-yet-unspecified date in October.

During the week several members and their guests had reassessed their position with regard to the dinner and had decided that they should not attend for health reasons, in the light of the Government’s recommendation that “older people and those with health conditions will be advised to cut social contact and stay at home”.
